St Oswald’s History group

The small and enthusiastic St Oswald’s History group is dedicated to keeping alive the story of the Parish of Parkside from 1883 to the present day.  We are fortunate to have a rich archive of church papers written and preserved by a succession of scholarly priests and dedicated people.  We seek to walk in their footsteps and through outreach, grounded in research, share this story with today’s congregation and the wider community.  The buildings and furnishings represent the story of a compassionate and generous people, alive to their mission in the world.  This special place ‘evokes a sense of awe, which is the beginning of worship.’ (Michael Mayne)
